Summer means it’s time to get back in the water, but first take a dip in shark territory at SharkFest 2024 at the Natural History Society of Maryland, 6908 Belair Road. Visitors can learn about the behavior and anatomy of these predators of the deep, including exploring fossil and shark teeth collections, listening to Emmy-Award-winning underwater cinematographer Nick Caloyianis and playing games and making crafts. Board and inspect a replica of a 16th-century sailing ship that was Ferdinand Magellan’s flagship on the first circumnavigation of the globe.
